Fundraising
The Team needs donations to stay operational and provide the equipment needed to conduct rescues and training. We have to constantly maintain rescue equipment, our team vehicle and HQ, as well as replacing worn and out-dated search and rescue kit. GMRT is a registered charity number number 1039742.
Recently we have had to -
- Purchase new medical equipment and supplies, including pulse oxygen readers and blood sugar meters
- Provide members with high visibility vests and waterproof jackets & trousers
- ReBuild our HQ!
- Purchase new first aid bags to house our ever expanding first aid kit
Our biggest need at the moment is to replenish team funds depleted after building a new HQ. Our old HQ did not meet new building regulations and had to be demolished and rebuilt.
Can you help us fund new rescue equipment? Our new members need radios, jackets and personal rescue equipment and the team needs a new defibrilator which could cost over £2,000 and new search lamps with an estimated total of between £5,000 to £8,000. We welcome donations of any amount.
