A small party of Glossop MRT members located the pair at Bleaklow Head and walked them off to Snake Summit as darkness fell. The walkers were uninjured, apart from slight hypothermia. |

23/03/2008 | Crowden | lower leg fractures | A 35 year old man suffered a broken leg in a sledging accident at Crowden. Glossop MRT assisted in the treatment and brief evacuation of the casualty to an air ambulance which had landed on the road nearby. |

02/02/2008 | Rollick Stones | none | A soloing climber was using ice axe and crampons on a climb and became unable to ascend or descend. Glossop team were assisted by Derby MRT (who were on exercise nearby) in getting the uninjured man to the top of the crag. He was then able to walk off with members of both teams. |

16/09/2007 | Alport Valley | hypothermia | Two hypothermic casualties were evacuated by Derbyshire Police helicopter from the uppper Alport Valley. The two police crew, who`s places were taken by the two casualties were guided off the moor by GMRT members as night fell. |

09/09/2007 | Hern Stones | fatal cardiac arrest | A party of team members organised the short evacuation of a casualty who had died of a suspected cardiac arrest, from a point close to Hern Stones to the nearby air ambulance. The casualty was transported by the aircraft to an ambulance waiting at Snake Summit. |

26/08/2007 | Blackden Brook | ankle | The team was called out to a female walker who had suffered a suspected ankle fracture whilst walking in the upper section of Blackden Brook. Due to the difficult location, an air ambulance from East Midlands was requested. A steep carry up to the waiting helicopter was undertaken by 13 Glossop rescuer, plus a passing Woodhead team member who offered his services. Edale team members, called as backup were turned round at the roadside as the casualty was airlifted to hospital. |

12/08/2007 | Chisworth | ankle | Team members assisted the ambulance service by briefly carrying a young woman with a fracture to her right ankle from near Far Woodseats farm at Chisworth. |

05/08/2007 | Fairbrook | facial, leg fracture | A woman fell from a rock above Fairbrook, Kinder sustaining facial injuries and a leg fracture, and was evacuated by air ambulance. Glossop team members walked off members of her party. Kinder MRT were called as backup but were turned round en route. |

14/07/2007 | Gnat Hole | multiple | GMRT assisted ambulance paramedics to evacuate an 11 year old girl who had fallen from a rope swing, suffering multiple injuries. |

25/06/2007 | Sheffield | | Two team members with water rescue training backed up Edale MRT in assisting Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service with the flooding in Sheffield. The were also put on stand by to rescue people if the Ulley dam broke, but were not required. |

05/06/2007 | Londdendale | fatal | The north west air ambulance had been called to assist a mountain biker who had collapsed on the Longdendale trail near Padfield. Despite resuscitation attempts, the man was declared dead at the scene and Glossop MRT members were used to carry the body to the team vehicle. |

31/05/2007 | Broadbottom | | At 18.58 the team were alerted to assist a crag-fast youth from Hattersley who was stuck on rocks at Broadbottom. The fire service requested M.R. assistance as they were unable to reach him, but by the team arrived they had rescued him by ladder, with no team action required. |

30/04/2007 | Broadbottom | broken toes | The team assisted ambulance paramedics with the evacuation of a cyclist from the river Etherow following a road accident. Medical assistance was given prior to an evacuation across the river to a waiting ambulance. |

29/04/2007 | Doctor's Gate | lower leg fracture | A female walker suffered a leg fracture whilst walking near Rose Clough. After giving pain relief and splinting the injury, the team carried the casualty by stretcher to an air ambulance. |

08/04/2007 | Blackden Brook | Lower arm fracture | Immediately after the previous casualty had been evacuated, the team were called to a ranger who had a suspected broken lower arm. Following treatment, the man and his (ranger) companion were walked off to the A57 via the moor above Blackden Brook. |

04/11/2006 | Hagg Farm | Dislocated Shoulder | GMRT were called to Hagg Farm Centre at 11.01 am to assist with the evacuation of a mountain biker who had fallen and dislocated his right shoulder on the track below Lockerbrook. Ambulance paramedics had given pain relief prior to the team's arrival.The team's vacuum mattress was used to load the casualty onto the stretcher for a short evacuation to the waiting ambulance. |

21/09/2006 | Bleaklow | Ankle injury | GMRT members out for a fell run met a party who reported a missing walker. GMRT and KMRT searched Bleaklow. GMRT found the man who had an ankle injury and an existing heart condition but did not have his usual medication with him. An RAF Sea King airlifted him to Huddersfield hospital for treatment. |

The casualty was found on the Crowden Little Brook track by Dog Simon of Calder Valley MRT and was evacuated with the help of the Glossop team vehicle. 10/09/2006 | Broadbottom | Medical Condition | GMRT were called at 11.42 to assist in the carrying of a 33 year old man with a medical condition to an NHS ambulance that was unable to access a rough track. A message was soon sent out indicating that no more members were needed and the team were stood down at 12.25. |

18/07/2006 | Bottom of Fairbrook, Kinder Northern edge | Reported Chest pains | Young Female on outward bound activity reported having chest pains with a previous history of heart problems. GMRT arrived on scene very soon after being called and treated the casualty. She was evacuated by stretcher to a waiting ambulance and assessed further in hospital. |

11/07/2006 | Laddow Rocks, Crowden | Mental Issues, Hypothermia, Suspected attempted suicide | GMRT was called to rescue a man from the Laddow rocks area who had been out over night and was hypothermic. The man was located and found to be distressed, OMRT and KMRT helped GMRT stretcher the man to a waiting ambulance in the Chew Valley and he was admitted to Tameside Hospital. |
